West Coast Surf Club 2008 Longboard Classic:- 47 entrants, 18 of which are locally based
- kick off is 830am on Saturday (13th) with a safety briefing for all followed by the first heats from 9am on
- the semi-finals and final will take place on Sunday (14th)
- the event will take place in front of the Lahinch Surf Shop with the judging podium located on Lahinch Promenade adjacent to the Celtic T-Shirt Shop
- on the social side, there will be a trad session in the Cornerstone Pub, Main Street, Lahinch (this year’s host venue) on Friday evening from 10pm while the Cornerstone also plays host with live band on Saturday evening, again from 10pm
