The Rip Curl GromSearch was successfully hosted by Rossnowlagh Surf Club at the weekend with dozens of young surfers attending. In glorious weather but small waves the event kicked off with the U12 Girls followed by the U12 Boys. Ayesha Garvey took the U12 Girls title with Donagh Cronin taking the U12 Boys. The U14s event hit the water after the much appreciated lunch time barbecue hosted by the Christian Surfers Ireland. Sarah Mc Loughlin took the Girls and James Garvey the Boys tile in the U14s.

Amy May Garvey made it a family trible when she won the U16 Girls and Toby Donachie, UK impressed the judges to take the U16 Boys. In the U16 Girls and Boys events the top Irish surfers, Amy May Garvey and Aaron Reid won all expenses paid trips to France to compete in the European final of the Rip Curl GromSearch.

All the finalists went home with fantastic Rip Curl Prizes and each competitor got a bag of Rip Curl Goodies. Thank you to Rip Curl for bringing the event to Ireland, Rossnowlagh Surf Club for hosting the event, Pascal Devine, Head Judge and Christian Surfers Ireland for making the event such a huge success.
